Thursday September 26

8:00 AM  –  2:00 PM

Grab your binoculars and enjoy a ramble through a rich mosaic of habitats looking and listening for a wide variety of avian species with expert birder Keith Watson.

During this relaxed, yet active, experience through the native grasslands of Seven Islands State Birding Park, we hope to spot such species as Yellow-breasted Chat, Common Yellowthroat, Indigo Bunting, Blue Grosbeak, Northern Bobwhiteand more. Along the riverbank, we expect to find a wide variety of waterbirds, swallows, Orchard Oriole, Prothonotary Warblers, and Wood Duck. It is possible to observe and/or hear 80 species in one day at this outstanding park! Fall birding here is excellent with over 130 species observed in September; through autumn, 18 species of warblers and 13 species of sparrows have been noted.

After the event, we will enjoy lunch courtesy of Aubrey's Restaurant and Burleson Brands, a collection of locally-owned restaurants.
