Saturday October 3

10:30 AM  –  3:00 PM

The iconic Monarch is known the world over as the only butterfly that makes a true migration. Each fall, Monarchs may travel more than 2,000 miles across the Americas to reach their wintering grounds. But as the media has been reporting, this natural phenomenon is in trouble. Come out to the Cove and learn more about Monarchs, migration and what you can do to help with outdoor educator Wanda DeWaard. Spend time in the field chasing Monarchs while learning to identify family groups of butterflies—all while contributing to scientific research!
