Event description: Spend time in the Smokies with an expert naturalist listening, observing and identifying the chorus of sounds created by insects we often overlook. Learn the how's and why's of the insect world during an indoor presentation followed by an interpretive stroll.

Activity rating: Easy Active: Great for members who want to participate in a low-impact outdoor program. Distance: 2 - 5 miles maximum. Setting: Walks that ramble along uneven trails and waterways with exposed roots and rocks with the potential for slight elevation gain and loss. 

What to bring: Bring your whole family! This is an event for kids of all ages. Binoculars or a hand lens and your favorite GSMA publication may come in handy as well.
